Maininki (a swell) features calm and smooth sea wawes. This retro decoration is made from thick mould-pressed glass. This type of glass refracts light the same way as crystal, so it has a brilliant sparkle. Mould-pressed glass is also wonderfully strong and practical, made with everyday use in mind. A speciality of vintage Finnish glass is the lovely surface patterns, which are really enjoyable to hold and touch with your fingers. A cake platter for serving cake and sweet or salty pastries with tea or coffee. Also used as a dinner plate. The logo sticker has been removed from these beautiful plates by their original owner. There are a few visible scratches on these gorgeous plates. There are also a few tiny bubbles in each plate, which has been considered a part of normal vintage glass production.
