Pekka (male given name) was popular series for everyday use in the 1940's and it is still appreciated by many. The homely form has wavy edges and the design is finished with a blue hand-painted stripe. A Jug/pitcher is a vessel for serving water, tea, coffee, milk, juice or beer at meal time. You can also use it for serving liquid seasoning, or as a vase for flowers. This vintage pitcher is in excellent condition with very few signs of use. There are however imperfections such as small dark dots and the glazing is somewhat uneven with bumps, pinholes and a small unglazed area on the outside (~5 mm x 2 mm).
